Yesterday evening a fire occured at a garbage collecting and handling company located at the bank of the River Scheldt. The selfcombustion of waste storage of wood was the possible cause of this inferno.

Two fully equipped fire fighting tugs, Union Ruby and Lieven Gevaert, were ordered by the fire fighting department of Antwerp to assist with this operation from the riverside
